Thoroughly enjoyed your web site. I was born and raised in Brooklyn. My family moved quite often. Born on S. 3rd Street, moved to 561 Bushwick Ave., 32 Arion Place , 488 Kosciusko Street, 317 Monroe Street, 358 Madison Street, 260 Parkside Avenue. Went into the Navy in 1944 and moved to Long Island when I got out. Oh how I long for those simple great days. Thanks for bringing me back.

Uncanny as it may be, I lived at 990 President, went to P.S. 241, Lefferts and Erasmus plus Brooklyn College and LIU. It is indeed a small world. The big news is my great aunt was Rae of Rae's Luncheonette fame and I practically lived in Ben & Sol's. I wound up moving just off of Eastern Parkway to Lincoln Place and practically lived at the Museum, Library and Gardens. I am 45 years old now and relegated to Staten Island. Moved here in 1988 from Canarsie, my mother still lives on Coney Island Ave. and Ave. Z. I guess you get a lot of e-mail like this. I also worked at the main post office on Cadman Plaza. Erasmus graduate of 1971—Brooklyn College 1975. I can probably go on forever and naturally I make frequent visits to the Boro of Churches.

My introduction to New York City, like so many who come from all over the world, was living in a little apartment in Williamsburg near the Bedford Ave. stop on the L. For a west coast person like me, this proved to be a refreshing and truly mind-opening experience. I loved it and would go back in a minute.

Greetings from 976 President Street (aka P.S. 241 Technology Lab) We are alive and well in Brooklyn. P.S. 241 is ready for the 21st century with a Power Mac Lab and up to date technology. We are on-line in our library and lab and will have a T1 line shortly adding 10 classes with Internet ability. Although I now live in NJ, Brooklyn is my birthplace. I make the trip to Brooklyn each day and still refer to Brooklyn as the "Motherland." You would find this neighborhood changed from your day the Kosher deli is gone and Jamaican and Haitian restaurants have replaced it. But the Gardens are still beautiful and the Museum is having a rebirth.
