I'd like to add to the little I've previously posted.

Besides living at 1799 Union St. & 836 Crown St. I also have lived at 435 Howard Ave. at the corner of Prospect Pl. I used to play punchball on St. Marks Ave. between Howard & Saratoga. I sort of knew Issac Berger, the Olympic Gold Medal winner for weight lifting. I went to Thomas Jefferson High School on Pennsylvania Ave. with his brother. I graduated in 1957 & went to CCNY Baruch School of Business. I attended John Marshall J.H.S. 210 on Rochester Ave. My sister's name is Judi. She now lives in Middletown, NY. We used to hang out in the Sugar Bowl, a luncheonette on Utica Ave. a few blocks up from the Carroll movie theatre.

Thanks for the GREAT Web Site. More later if you want it.

Atlantic Avenue, between Henry and Hicks, living above The New You (a post-mastectomy fitting store). I literally live above thousands and thousands of fake breasts. . . .

Sheepshead Bay was my world. In a period of perhaps 18 years my family moved constantly within a radius of two blocks. My residences were on E. 22nd St. between Avenues W and X, East 21st St. and Avenue X, E. 22nd St. between Avenues X and Y, and E. 23rd St. between Y and Z. Yet, it constituted a complete world to me especially when I was given the opportunity to go to Sheepshead Bay for fishing or just for plain walking. King's Highway was our Rodeo Drive or Fifth Avenue. Everything in the world that I wanted was there. And James Madison High School and P. S. 206 were our Eton and Oxford. Or, that's what I thought. Since then I've lived in Queens, Wellesley, MA, Armonk, NY, Miami, FL, Delmar (Albany) NY, Marina del Rey, CA, Laguna Hills, CA., Lord's Valley, PA, Tolland, MA, Southbury CT where I spend most of the year and Lake Worth FL where I run away in winter from the cold of the North. I'm graduated from James Madison in January 1942. Are any of my classmates in or near my present homes?

It New Years Day I found your home page and was reminded of my Brooklyn. On the other side of the Prospect Park where the lake where the paddle boats are. Of the ice skating rink. Of the park circle where the Saunders Theater was. Of the hill we called Suicide Hill, and the one we called Lookout Mountain. I lived at 46 Prospect Park SW right across from the park not far from the band shell. I remember 9th Ave. and Mom's Pizzeria, the Italian deli, the Jewish deli, the Bergers' stationary store, the Catholic church and last but not least P.S. 154, my school. My neighborhood had everything you could ever want, and every nationality and religion. What a wonderful way to grow up. Thanks for the memories. I remember the places you spoke of, very fondly, so much so that it triggered memories I forgot I had.
